Funeral today for John K. Bucher veteran of Civil War

John K. Bucher died at his home southwest of town after several weeks illness with complications. He served over three years as a private in Co C 16th Ohio. Born January 30, 1842 in Wayne County Ohio, he was 78. Survived by his companion and several children. Funeral Thursday with interment in Franklin cemetery three miles west.
