Jury selection for Gillihan starts Tuesday
The district court trial for Gillihan, charged with four counts of murder, opens at 9 a.m. Tuesday with jury selection. Mrs. Robert K. Bell received a letter from cousin Mrs. Beatrice Greenleaf of Clifton Arizona about the death of Charles Stevens on Sept 14. He was overseeing a tunnel in the mine leased from Phelps Dodge Corp when he died. He was the grandson of Isaac J. Stevens and Mrs. Stevens. Survived by widow Grace Stevens of Clifton and three children. Burial was in Clifton.

Two Planes Hijacked and Brought to Cuba
Two Avianca planes were hijacked Sunday and redirected to Cuba with 139 aboard. A Boeing 727 landed at Camaguey with 72 passengers and six crew, released Sunday night and flown back to Barranquilla.
