Aviators Vote To Form Permanent State Organization
The New Mexico Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association moved to become a permanent body at the first district meeting in Farmington called by Four Comers Aviation. State Chairman J. M. Grimes announced unanimous approval for permanency and said over 400 membership applications were requested for the Northwest District. He noted mailings may be limited but applications can be obtained from the Southwest Aviation News or secretary Lora Nichols of Bayard. The group aims to safeguard pilots' rights and interests as a permanent organization, replacing the temporary setup used to address plane taxation issues. El Paso Veteran Dies At Ft Bayard
Malcolm Hf Montgomery seventy two of El Paso Texas died yesterday at Veterans Administration Hospital Fort Bayard where he had been a patient since September fourteenth. A World War I veteran he formerly worked as a railroad ticket agent. His widow Mrs Irene Montgomery lives in El Paso. Curtis Mortuary Silver City handles preliminary arrangements and will send the body to Harding Orr and McDaniel Funeral Home in El Paso for interment there.
