Flying Cavalry closes in on Viet Cong battalion near Bong Son

Fierce fighting raged in central Vietnam as US air cavalrymen closed in on a trapped Communist battalion near Bong Son. Army spokesmen reported 141 Viet Cong killed in 24 hours, 30 captured, 307 rounded up, while Operation Davy Crockett continued.

100 Percent Of China Employees Buy Bonds At Kennecott

The China Mines Division of Kennecott Copper Corp in Hurley and Santa Rita New Mexico reports 100 percent employee participation in buying U S Savings Bonds through payroll deductions this week. Frank G Woodruff says the drive began April 1 and increased both participation and purchase amounts. Unions and bond drive committee members from China contributed to reaching the perfect goal with 10 labor groups and 9 union locals listed among participants.

Bids Set For Weapons Test Support Facility
