Snell Junior High oboe player chosen for Europe tour
Nancy Hunter Snell, an oboe student in the C. C. Snell Junior High Eagle Band, was selected to perform with the New Mexico Marching and Concert Band on a Western Europe tour from August 13 to 27. The group will visit Amsterdam Berlin Wiesbaden Mainz and Munich, with a concert at the Olympic Village opening of the 1972 Olympiad on August 26. Band director Ralph Saenz said the honor reflects well on Snell Junior High and the Cobre schools.

Relief Society Marks 130th Anniversary Observance

Garbage Clean Up Planned in Bayard April 8

Heart Screening Cancelled in Silver School District
Officials said the planned Cardio screening program for fourth and tenth graders in the Silver School system has been cancelled with regret due to unforeseen difficulties.
