Abdel Nasser and Sukarno met for an hour with plans for more talks on Tuesday. The first Soviet wheat shipment to Egypt, 8,845 tons, arrived in Alexandria aboard the Duibassary, drawing cheers for Soviet-U.A.R. friendship. Earlier the American ship Sabrina unloaded 24,000 tons of U.S. wheat with no crowd reception.
The Milky Way extends as a belt around the sky consisting of countless stars. This vast band comprises innumerable suns in a rotating disk shape as observed from Earth.
The Mariner 4 probe has traveled over 303 million miles on its outward journey to Mars. It will pass about 6,000 miles from the planet on July 14 and transmit 21 Mars pictures over ten days. The mission also returns data on cosmic dust solar wind magnetic fields radiation and cosmic rays.

Dr Harrison H Schmitt, a 29 year old geologist from Silver City New Mexico, is named as one of six scientist astronauts. He earned a Harvard PhD and Caltech BS and studied in Norway on a Fulbright. He works for the U S Geological Survey in Flagstaff Arizona and will train for moon missions with NASA in Tucson Arizona.
Jim Clark drove a Lotus to win the List Grand Prix of France in Clermont Ferrand, setting seven lap records on the 40 laps. He completed the race in 2 hours 14 minutes 384 seconds at an average 99 mph, amid tough circuit turns. Clark’s fourth major win this season boosts his world championship lead over Graham Hill and Jackie Stewart, who finished second and third.
Town and Country Mary Sally Valencia a former Cobre High School student graduated Garfield High in Los Angeles. She attended an all night PTA party at Mercury Bowl with her father and friends then toured Disneyland and Catalina Island. She plans to attend medical and dental college.
