Students required at least a 3.00 GPA and 15 credit hours to qualify.

Glenwood Women's Club Plans Bicentennial Celebration

The Glenwood Women's Club held its annual June picnic at president Mrs. Lowell Sumner's Pleasant home with 29 women and nine children. Guests included Leona Larson and others. A short meeting outlined Reserve Bicentennial events on July 3 and a community prep July 2 at 10 a.m. for the Reserve Barbeque. Donations are welcome to cover celebration costs. Chief Master Sergeant James A Snyder aged 44 died suddenly at Clark Air Base in the Philippines after 25 years in the Air Force. He served with the 475th Supply Squadron at Yokota Air Base, Tokyo. Native of Luna New Mexico. Survived by wife Wakako and son Bruce, both in Tokyo, plus four brothers and a sister. Funeral Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Curtis-Bright Funeral Chapel.
