Tornados threaten northern New Mexico amid mild damages
Tornados sighted in northern New Mexico as thunderstorms lashed the state. An airborne observer reported several funnel clouds about 40 miles northwest of Albuquerque. A brief National Weather Service tornado warning covered Santa Fe Rio Arriba Sandoval and Taos counties before cancellation within an hour. Suspects Sought in Torch Gun Slaying of Massachusetts Couple
Police say they have some suspects in the torch gun slaying of Thomas Matzilevich and Kathleen Connor Matzilevich, a Worcester pair living in Fort Worth. The victims were identified by dental records and fingerprints after a 1968 sedan blaze at City Park near Lake Austin.
