Night Fire Rolls Through New Orleans Bank Building

Fire Chief Nicholas Martello collapsed at the downtown bank fire not yet linked to smoke inhalation and a heart condition. Bank employees were evacuated from the second floor while Emory Orvelles of Delta Steamship Co. noted irreplaceable files at risk. A school fire on a adjoining brick campus injured few but spared a cafeteria and 450 students. Owls rely on sound over sight to hunt.
