Kirby Sixth Grade Trip To Hodges Gardens Lat
Sixty six grade students from Kirby Elementary in Kirbyville traveled to Hodges Gardens near Many Louisiana on two school buses. Principal Maurice Hobbs and science teacher Hall Gregory led the group with several Kirby staff members serving as chaperones. Most students brought cameras and every child took home a potted plant souvenir. The 124 pupils left at dawn and returned by 6 30 p m with glowing reports of flowers wildlife and garden scenes.

They built an electric motor driven space capsule that orbits a large globe, modeled after Lt. Col. John Glenn's orbital flight. Chip is the 11 year old son of C. P. Bryan. Don is the son of R. M.
