Two young men from Silsbee and a Beaumont couple are free on $5000 bond each after being charged on Wednesday May 27 in Calcasieu Parish Louisiana with possession of marijuana according to Silsbee Police Chief Edgar Blood. Names listed include Larry Murphy LaFose 22 of 1065 Dardin Drive Silsbee David Royce Stutts 20 and Thomas Darrell Gore.

The $18,253 expansion at Silsbee Public Library is 75 percent done. H. L. Lackey says air conditioning should start in about two weeks, with full completion in about four weeks.
