Private Gore Completes Airborne School At Fort Campbell
Private Vivian Simon Gore son of Mr and Mrs Olan L Gore Route 1 Silsbee recently finished the 11th Airborne Division Airborne School at Fort Campbell Kentucky Gore made five exits from C 119 Flying Boxcars using the new type T 11 parachute He will take part in realistic training with the 511th Airborne Signal Company of the 11th Airborne Division in Port Campbell Kentucky Gore attended Silsbee High School and Port Arthur Business College before entering the service on October 28 1954 He now serves as a radio operator in the 511th Airborne Signal Company
