Saratoga Man Shot, Recovering After Hospital Stay
John Fore of Saratoga, seriously wounded in a Friday shooting near Saratoga, was set to return home from Baptist hospital in Beaumont Wednesday. Emory Scott, about 76, formerly of Saratoga, faces an assault with intent to murder charge and is free on $1000 bond. Investigating deputies say the attack followed a property dispute. Fore received wounds to the side head and back from a .25 caliber pistol and was moved from Hardin County hospital to Beaumont.
