Mrs Vernie Landers of Canalou died at her home Sunday afternoon at 6 30 aged 65. She was born July 14 in Battle Rock Arkansas and lived in Canalou 17 years. Surviving are her husband Bill and eight children including Bil Landers and Beulah Ethridge. Also two sisters and 17 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p m at the Baptist Church in Canalou with interment at Matthews Cemetery.
