The annual Boy Scout and Cub Exposition for Southeast Missouri Area Council will be held at the Sikeston Armory Saturday night December 4. About 250 to 300 Scouts and Cubs are expected to participate with districts Stoddard Sikeston Cap Web New Madrid Tri County and Bollinger represented. Displays Cub and Scout craft booths plus a stage show including Court of Honor New Boy Installation and trophy awards.

Former Peace Officer rans 10-Year Term
Courtney Clifford former town marshal at Dumo was found guilty of second degree murder by a Benton Circuit Court jury. He was sentenced to 10 years in the State Penitentiary at Jefferson City. The trial began Tuesday morning and the verdict came at 9:00 am Tuesday. Holder 34 a taxicab driver was shot twice at Clifford's home. Clifford had opposed a relationship between Holder and Cliffords stepdaughter and surrendered to authorities after the shooting. He will be transferred to Jefferson City immediately.
