Twenty one Sikeston High School girls finished the Red Cross Home Nursing Course led by school nurse Mrs Pansy Faris. The program trained students to provide basic home nursing and to assist professionals in mass casualty care after an enemy attack. Certs will be issued by the American Red Cross Area Office in St Louis to the named students.

Engineers Advise City to Reject All Sewer Project Bids

Shoe Plant to Close One Week for Inventory

A two car collision near Sikeston left Mrs. Rhea Brown 48 of Ridgway Illinois dead at a Sikeston hospital from head injuries. The Crump family of Portageville and another child were treated for observation after the crash on U S Highway 61 south of Sikeston.
