Final Rites For Bell Citton Struck by Train
Funeral services were held for Donald Ro Thrower of Bell City after he was found dead on the railroad tracks late Monday night. Coroner Ray Hames reported Thrower, born August 16, 1923, was killed by a train. an inquest will be scheduled once railroad crews respond. He worked as a mechanic at the Delay Garage and is survived by his parents three sisters and three brothers.

Melvin W. Holt 45, a part time employee at a bottling company, shot himself at 309 Ingram Street after a claw hammer attack on his wife Lorene Holt 40. Despondency over unemployment and debts is cited as the underlying cause. Neighbors heard screams. Holt died en route to the hospital.
