The second annual Jaycee Home Show closed with attendees calling it the best exhibition yet. The city shows a housing boom in Ward Four with more homes under construction than elsewhere. By March 1 eleven new residences stood in Collins Third Addition. others on Missouri Avenue, Oklahoma, Marian and Illinois Streets progressed, and two on Kentucky Drive were under construction.

Census Count Shows Drastic SEMO Decline

Music Department to Present Spring Concert
The SikesTon High School Symphony Orchestra under Richard Powell will perform a two part program Friday evening May 6 1960 in the High School Auditorium. The first part features classical works and the second part Broadway hits and pop tunes for orchestra with a newly formed String Ensemble and a Senior mixed quartet to perform between sections. The group has historically hosted two concerts yearly and collaborated with Thespian Troup productions and Cape Girardeau symphony involvement.
