Three Auto Crash Near Post Office
A three way crash at South New Madrid and North streets Monday caused heavy damage to three vehicles and minor injuries to two people. Police cite a Stop sign violation by Marine Set on North street as the cause. Glenn Stumpe of Cape Girardeau drove east in a government truck and hit Chester Edwards of Sikeston. Mrs. W. T. Malone, in another car, collided with the Marine’s vehicle. Malone received elbow and hip bruises and was treated at Missouri Delta Community Hospital and discharged. Edwards was treated for a bruised chest and released.
