Regimental Offices to be Moved to Sikeston
The 140th Infantry of the Missouri National Guard, now at Caruthersville, will relocate to Sikeston within 30 days. The new armory will be in Chamber of Commerce park and will host Capt. J. N. Cannon regimental adjutant and two major instructors including Maj. W. S. Graham. Maj. Bert Wampler departs for Jefferson City. The regiment comprises 19 units and 1280 men.

Youth Hurt In Bus Auto Accident Near Sikeston
Woodrow Foster a 17 year old driver suffered a 3 inch forehead cut a deep chin laceration and severe bruises after his 1936 Chevrolet collided head on with a Missouri Pacific bus on Highway 60 three and a half miles east of Sikeston. Fog reduced visibility and Foster was treated by Dr G W H Presnell then returned home near Miner. The bus driver R E David of Poplar Bluff and all passengers were unhurt.

Farm Loan Meet Held Wednesday
The Consolidated National Farm Loan Association held its annual meeting Wednesday morning January 10 at the Sikeston Public Library with 34 stockholders from Scott, Mississippi, New Madrid and Stoddard counties attending. R. P. Mills of St. Louis spoke for the Federal Land Bank. 440 loans totaling 1 048 822 were made in 1939. officers and directors were re elected for the coming year.

Relief Measures Aimed at Tenant Relief in Missouri
