Bridal Chamber Mine in New Mexico Crowned 19th Century Silver Find

The Bridal Chamber in Lake Valley New Mexico yielded horn silver worth millions after George W. Lufkin and partner Chris Watson staked the claim in 1878. Philadelphia investors later profited massively while risks and legends surrounded the site including the death of Geo Daly. The vein reportedly exhausted, the mine remains a ruin in the limestone hills near El Paso.
