The Rocky Mountain News denounces Secretary Ballinger's proposed water power plan alleging it would turn the federal government into a water lord taxing public lands. The paper argues such a law would hinder development, breach justice, and face quick congressional defeat and Supreme Court scrutiny.

The sale covers two hundred head of cattle and forty head of horses and mules with various brands. The property is in Andrews pasture Section 26 Township 16 Range 7 West near Hillsboro. Joyce-Pruit Company now owns the note of 1687.59 and will auction cattle brands J7 at Engle Sierra County NM on November 20 1909 to satisfy the debt plus costs. It also enumerates vacant school and institutional lands in Sierra county open for grazing or agricultural lease with details of land blocks and sections. The notice includes a corporation tax reporting request from the Santa Fe Internal Revenue office with a March 1, 1910 deadline.
