Hon T B Catron presided in Socorro over Eberlee versus Carmichael a mining dispute with properties in the Mogollon district valued perhaps at 250000. Eberlee claims three adjacent claims were properly held by assessment work. Carmichael argues the two unworked claims cannot be held. James Pearson, former Colorado Sun artist, moves to Lordsburg to join the Denver Industry as a veteran miner.
James Harris was pardoned today by Acting Governor Alexander granting him good time. His fifteen year service ends this month. He was imprisoned for cattle stealing in San Miguel county and spent time at Leavenworth before New Mexico had a prison. Harris has been ill and in poor physical and mental shape. The pardon came on the superintendent and physician's recommendation. his sister from San Miguel county arrived to take him home.
