Apache Box gold mine sold to Boston firm for 5000

The Silver City Enterprise reports the Apache Box gold mine west of Silver City New Mexico has been sold to Smith brothers of Boston and Springfield Muse for 5000. The contract was signed in El Paso. W N Smail and John Kniffin represented the sellers. The buyers plan a 200 ton reduction mill with fine grinding and cyaniding and may later expand capacity.

Andrews enters race for U S Senator from New Mexico

Hon W Wf Andrews former popular delegate in Congress from New Mexico announces his candidacy to succeed A B Fall in March 1913. He opens his campaign in the state legislature by requesting primaries at the new November elections to let voters choose the Senator before the January 1913 legislative session.
