Sidney Second In Cross Country Meet At Bluff
Sidney took second place behind Scottsbluff in a cross country race at Scottsbluff Country Club Thursday afternoon. Gering placed third and Melbeta fourth and fifth. Tiger Henry of Scottsbluff finished the one and three quarter mile course in 13.3 minutes. Allen of Scottsbluff was about three seconds behind. Wont Ed Bowman of Sidney took fourth with a time of 8 24.9. Other Sidney runners Robbins 12th Bishop 15th Corey 16th Nissen 19th and Clawegen 26th also scored. Scottsbluff won the team title with 23 points, followed by Sidney Bayard Gering and Melbeta. Sidney Country Club invites fans to watch the team Tuesday after school.
