72 Wheat Acreage May Be Largest In Past 25 Years
In the Panhandle region of Nebraska the winter wheat acreage may be the largest since World War II. Farmers rush back to wheat despite low prices, betting it yields higher returns than other crops. Yields of 50 to 70 bushels per acre bolster those decisions as rains arrive and conditions improve.
