Cheyenne County Fair Set for Sidney October 4–6
The Cheyenne county Agricultural Society announces its first county fair in Sidney on October 4, 5, and 6. Nearly $1,000 has been subscribed to cover expenses and prizes. The grounds will host a floral hall, wire fencing, daily races, a barbecue, ball games, and music by the 21st Infantry band. Entries may be mailed or made at the Telegraph office. Union Pacific offers special one and one third rate to the Sidney fair for shipments to the event.

Morphine Suspected as Cause of Sidney Man's Death
A man known to cattlemen, Tate, was found dead in Jos Sharmer's pasture near Sidney. A coroner's jury, a bottle of morphine and a bottle of laudanum found on him prompted a death verdict of morphine overdose. The ruling noted no suicide motive despite the mysterious death.

Selected Delegates at Sidney Republican County Convention
The Sidney city hall hosted the first section of the county Republican convention on a Saturday afternoon. Twenty six delegates attended, with seven proxies held by Geo W S Moyer of Kimball. J B Cary chaired and Chas Trognitz served as secretary before ballots chose delegates to the state and judicial conventions.
