Six years ago the Sale Variety Store opened with a small, incomplete stock and a vow to serve the public. The owners pledge refunds and replacements for unsatisfactory purchases, noting loyalty and friendship built with customers. They invite everyone to visit during the anniversary sale.
Clearout sale offers two lots of girls and children's dresses and aprons. Lot 1 features well made garments in sizes 2 to 14, value up to 1.50, now 79 cents. Lot 2 includes sleevless and long sleeve dresses up to $3.50 value, now 1.49 and 1.89 respectively, with your choice of item.
This sale features multiple blanket lots at markedly reduced prices. Lot 1 gray cotton double bed 68x80 per pair 1.69. Lot 2 plaid cotton double 68x88 about three pounds per pair 2.79. Lot 3 Wolverine 68x80 four pounds per pair 3.19. Lot 4 Woolnap Nashua 68x81 very heavy per pair 3.89.
A sale advertisement promotes men's, women's, and children's hosiery at reduced rates. Bundles of boys overalls in white and blue denim sizes up to 15 years sell for a dollar per pair. A thousand yards of bottom crash towelling, 16 inches wide plain white and white with blue border, priced to clear. Turkish towels offered at 2 cents each pair, 2 by 4 inches, and other crash towels sold at reduced rates.
New stock offers complete fall and winter underwear for the whole family at about half the price elsewhere. Men’s winter weight unions 98 cents, ribbed or fleeced. boys and girls fleeced unions 79 cents. ladies unions 39 cents.
