Prohibition Faction Appeals Liquor Trade Support For Cox Roosevelt
A New Jersey liquor trade letter urges brewers and retailers to back James M. Cox for president and Roosevelt for Vice President, to amend the Volstead Act and keep the Eighteenth Amendment from ratification. It calls for immediate donations to fund anti saloon league campaigns, stresses personal liberty, and warns of a pivotal political fight against Prohibition, asking recipients to respond with remittance.
