Carr Caught In Warm Car Trade Scheme Fail
Earl Pace of Lodgepole traded a 1952 Studebaker and $20 for a 1955 Ford station wagon. Pace worried the car might be hot and reported the matter to Sgt Mel Buschist. Investigators traced the Studebaker to Raymond Carr in Sidney. Carr had bought the wagon for $600 from Anstelmi Cars at Rock Springs but the check bounced. Pace recovered his car, Anstelmi recovered theirs, and Rock Springs authorities detained Carr. Sheriff Schulz released him to a Rock Springs deputy yesterday.
