Funeral rites were held for Raymond Portz and Merle Niemeller, two crash victims aged 23 and 25, as juries gathered for other crash injuries. Portz, born April 2 1911 at Neligh, died in Sidney September 2 1934 after moving with his parents. he leaves a wife and daughter, plus siblings and relatives. Niemeller, born November 13 1909 at Fullerton, died September 1 1934. services were held at the Methodist church with burial locally.

Equipment and linens are prepared, 11 rooms on the second floor, two kitchens, a enlarged lobby, and a new stairway completed. Former Resident Dies At California Home
Nerve Eckert brother of Mrs. C. E. Harper of Sidney died in a San Francisco hospital Tuesday night after a year of failing health. He left Cheyenne county about 20 years ago moving to Orland California where he stayed until his death. He is survived by his wife and six children George James Marguerite Nancy Evelyn and Elaine. Interment is to be at Orland.

Festivals Open Season Draws Hundreds Across Towns
Festivals this week drew several hundred visitors to Bridgeport Lodge Pole and Potter as Season 15 began. Camp Clarke day and Lodge Pole old settlers picnic led crowds from the panhandle with Potter day including a parade water fight and a 6 to 3 win over Kimball in nine innings. Next week Gurley hosts its Friendly Fall Festival with a record flower show and multi class entries for the competition.

Bert Griffin once lived in Sidney as a boy in the late 70s and early 80s. He called on the Telegraph during a Thursday visit. Two Girls Injured In Fatal Crash Improve

Hogs Delivered to County Relief Program
Between 200 and 300 hogs were turned over to relief officials on Wednesday by farmers forced to dispose of excess animals under corn hog contracts. Doctors To Meet Here For Annual Sessions In Sidney
