Farmers urged to spray arsenic based bait to kill grasshoppers before they lay eggs. Mix uses bran, arsenic or Paris green, amyl acetate, molasses, and water to form a soft dough. Broadcast bait every 100 to 150 feet or at field edges, cover fields in swaths, and coordinate with neighbors for effective protection of winter wheat.
Clifford Moore and Rupert Campbell of the Sidney DeMolay chapter were elected scribe and state association treasurer at the annual DeMolay meeting in Grand Island.
