Dalton Gets New Lighting Upgrade In Wheat Belt
Dalton Delogsite reports that Wheat Belt Electric Membership Association is rebuilding the town electrical distribution system. Mercury vapor street lights will illuminate two principal downtown streets and residential areas will gain reconditioned lighting. Tourist Dies En Route To Coast In California Camp
A Cincinnati tourist Adolph Emmerich died at a Sidney cabin camp from a heart attack suffered around 3 a.m. He and his wife their son Werner and sister in law Mrs Helen Lewy were en route to Los Angeles to visit relatives. Emmerich's body was sent to The Craig Mortuary and then shipped to Cincinnati for funeral and burial services.

Legion Club Opens Friday in J C Penney Basement
The American Legion Club opens in its new basement location under The J C Penney store Friday at seven p m. Hours are seven to midnight Friday and 1 p m to midnight Saturday with coffee and doughnuts served by the Auxiliary Saturday 1 to 5 p m. Special entertainment for opening week includes the Johnny Miller Trio nightly except Monday September 7 through 14. Miller, ex King Cole Trio member, recently played the Biltmore Hotel and other resort spots. Club officials expect capacity crowds.
