Lavern A. Baker and Fred C. Bates were arraigned before County Judge Gapen on October 28 for burglarizing the Oberfelder store. Both pled guilty and, being under eighteen, were committed to the State Industrial School at Kearney Nebraska. The break occurred Monday evening from the rear. two outfits of clothing, including underwear and accessories, were taken. The guilty parties were found nearby and captured at Cheyenne, then returned by Sheriff McDaniels.

Mary Ehmke Sanders of Sextorp died suddenly at home near Potter on Saturday noon. Her husband Emmons J. Sanders and son John found her. coroners and officials investigated. Born November 27, 1877 in Jacksonville Michigan she married Emmons J. Sanders June 4, 1899 at Sidney Nebraska. Surviving are her husband two sons John nine and Irving four, daughter Jessie fourteen, her parents Henry and Mary Ehmke, three sisters and three brothers. Funeral Monday at home with large gathering and interment in the cemetery north with Rev Boekman presiding.
A Dorcas society luncheon Thursday featured National Biscuit Company refreshments except coffee. Fourteen wafer kinds, cheese straws, cakes, macaroon treats delighted guests. The coffee, brewed by the ladies, was praised. A large gathering of women attended, and the event proved profitable for organizers.
One of Fort Collins fall weddings was held at the Ickes residence as Miss Ellen M. Ickes married H H Hurd of Bridgeport Nebraska. The ceremony by Rev C H Shutt featured a wedding march and de Koven aria. Guests, dinner, and a display of wedding gifts followed before the couple left for Denver then Bridgeport to establish home.

Mrs. G. D. VanGorder left Wednesday for North Platte to visit Mrs. Edgar Dedrich. Glenn will go down tonight to spend Sunday with them and both will return tomorrow evening.
Louis Griffith a prosperous farmer from six miles south of Lodgepole married Miss Elsie Withers of Lodgepole at the Lutheran parsonage on Wednesday October 28 at 5 30 p m. Mrs Frank Hansen sister of the bride and her husband attended as witnesses. The couple will reside at the groom's ranch and wishes for happiness are offered.
Mrs. Joseph Oberfelder and Miss Hazel Oberfelder traveled to Omaha on Thursday morning for a one week visit with friends, planning sightseeing and social gatherings.

N. G. Brewer has installed a large batch of new machinery in his garage, claiming it to be the best equipped facility west of Omaha. One piece alone weighs 6,000 pounds.

Ralph Devine arrived Sunday ill with typhoid and stays with his parents Don and Mrs. Devine south of Thornburg store. P W Whalen and wife have opened a cafe in the Gapen building basement. H W Struble and wife toured town as he campaigns for commissioner. Claude MacGowan, now in Pleasantdale, Nebraska, returned Monday to handle household goods shipping.
