Physical Defects of Sidney Children Reduced
Free distribution of milk by the womens club of Sidney to school children found underweight in the recent physical examination of all the pupils will be started either the last of this week or the first of next week. The number is not large. It is hoped that parents who are able will pay for the milk for their children. Fewer children were found to have defective eyes and teeth than anticipated due to prior program work. There is only about one pupil with defective eyes or teeth now, compared with about three times that number four years ago. The free dental clinic will probably start Saturday. Pupils with doubtful physical deviation were referred to City Physician Roche for examination and recommendations to parents.
