In a Cheyenne County Sidney letter, accusations claim Osborn caused costly land index work and misused power. The writer cites overcharges, political favoritism, and a push for reform including Neubauer and Grimes, with references to local officials and a sworn affidavit from JoAn Cawley.
John Cawley of Colton precinct, once a strong Osborn supporter, visited Bergman’s store to learn that C J Osborn had dismissed H H Bandy due to dislike. Cawley denounced the act as contemptible and spoke strongly to neighbors. Osborn confronted him upon hearing the remarks.
Through car service arranged by Union Pacific links Minneapolis and St Paul to Los Angeles via Sioux City and Columbus without change. Sleeper departs Minneapolis Thursday at 740 p m and St Paul at 815 p m. Los Angeles arrival is 200 p m Thursday. Union Pacific touts faster west travel and urges early space applications. Smoke was seen from the Granneman building on Second Street on Sunday afternoon. A bucket brigade formed and firemen soon controlled the blaze before the hose cart arrived. An old mattress in a rear shed ignited from an unknown cause and caused major damage, estimated at about 100 dollars, with repairs planned.

The Railroad Company plans a major expansion of Sidney yards and freight depot. New six month project adds seven side tracks, expands yard to over 14000 feet, moves the depot, and builds a modern depot with offices. Work to begin within thirty days with large force needed, aiding Sidney merchants and handling increased traffic.
A lodge of the Degree of Honor the ladies degree of the A O U W will be instituted in the city on Thursday evening October 31 An invitation has been extended to the Kimball lodge to participate In the ceremonies and a banquet will follow at the Pacific hotel The lodge begins with forty members.

A Mechanicsville Maryland testimonial claims a long sufferer was cured. 50 cent bottles sold by W F Bassett.
