Hanratty-Seymour Seem Unbeatable Pair
Notre Dame's 18 year old quarterback Terry Hanratty and 19 year old receiver Jim Seymour emerge as a stellar 1964 duo. They shine in wins over Purdue Northwestern Army, with Seymour amassing 276 yards and 3 TDs on 13 receptions and Hanratty tossing 304 yards. The pair sparks talk of a record-creating backfield under Ara Parseghian and contends with prior greats Snow and Huarte. Hanratty recalls tough competition with Coley O Brien while choosing Notre Dame over Michigan and Michigan State.
