Potter Chapter and Potter Town participants, plus numerous individuals and local businesses, pledged amounts including 1000 from J M Swenson and 1000 from N Is Medlock, among others. The list credits each town and donor for their share of the fundraising effort.
A countywide Red Cross rally overcame wind and cold to raise funds for the war effort. Charcoal tasks were led by Charles Trognitz with meats donated by Fuller brothers, and a full menu of buns salad slaw and coffee. The event featured Klein's band, a flag drill, and a keynote by W P Miles, ending with a total of 8640 pledged and ongoing contributions as luncheon sales continued nearby.
