Fruit growers report a largely increased acreage planned for the coming season. With adequate water, nearly any fruit can be grown profitably, and peaches may thrive with protection. County Schools Show Spirit as 97 Districts Build Replacements
County superintendent Frances E. Knox reports 97 districts with 64 teachers needed and 17 men 60 women teaching in the year. Sod school houses decline to 17 with 46 frame and 16 stone buildings. district funds show 1462.34 passing through treasurers, 32795.83 spent on schools, 8666.50 remaining. 1697 children of school age yield 12.55 per child, with 135641.35 total attendance days. Nebraska aims to maintain its top educational standing.
