Hoffa Come To State Warns Of Law Enforcement Strain
Senator Carl Curtis warned at a Chamber of Commerce session that if Jimmy Hoffa succeeded in organizing workers Nebraska law enforcement would be stretched. He said the State Safety Patrol would confront mobs led by named figures like Johnny Dio and that there would not be enough sheriffs to halt a crime wave. Curtis, on the Senate Labor Rackets Committee, said Hoffa seeks to rule Americans and would control transportation and food industries.
