New System Aims to Boost Hog Production by 20 Percent
A fire hall audience of about 100 heard Bill Morris of Neway Manufacturing describe a controlled production method for hogs. The plan uses separate farrowing and feeding buildings, concrete floors for sanitation, and balanced rations to raise about 1500 pigs yearly with costs around 16 000 dollars for setup. Morris, a hog producer, says litter size drops from 67 to about 10 with this system and pork can be produced at a net cost of 10 dollars per hundredweight, yielding potential profits at current high market prices. Farmers from Devel Garden and Cheyenne counties attended, with half from Garden County.

By law the county treasurer must publish delinquents in three consecutive October issues in a general circulation newspaper.
