The Kimball Longhorns meet the Sidney Red Raiders at Weymouth Field in Sidney for the homecoming game kicking off at 7 30 p m. Sidney, 4 1 in class B Western Conference action, aims to stay unbeaten while Kimball trails 2 2 with key seniors on offense and defense.
The 1969 Punt Pass and Kick contest runs 1 30 p m at Sidney High School football field for ages eight to thirteen with over 100 local participants. Local winners may advance to national finals at the Orange Bowl. Hank Reitz directs with Sid e y High players assisting. Gibson Ford Mercury backs local event. Ford Motor Company and NFL sponsor nationally. In case of bad weather the event may move to Sunday.
Sidney Red Raider freshmen host Kimball freshmen in their first home game at Weymouth Field Saturday at 10 30 a.m. The Junior Varsity travels to Kimball next Monday at 7 30 p.m. for a JV Longhorns match. Seventh and eighth grade squads play Wednesday intramurals at Weymouth Field.
The New York Racing Association schedules a 48 day fall meeting at Belmont Park ending October 18, followed by a 49 day Aqueduct meet through December 18. The plan covers thoroughbred racing ahead of winter.
Robert M. Sensintaffar of Casper Wyoming project manager for the Bureau of Reclamation North Platte River Projects office is named outstanding federal employee in the Casper area. He directs Region 7 work along the river affecting 380000 acres of irrigated land ten hydro plants eight dams and 3000 miles of transmission lines. An electrical engineer he leads civic fraternal and professional groups and serves as president of the Professional Engineers of Wyoming and the Wyoming Engineering Society.
Captain M. Jay Harroff son of Mrs. Gertrude I. Harroff of Miles Michigan serves as an EB-66 electronic warfare officer with the 355th Tactical Fighter Wing Pacific Air Forces at Takhli Royal Thai Air Force Base Thailand. He previously served at Blytheville Arkansas after graduating Central High School South Bend Indiana in 1957. Commissioned in 1962 through the aviation cadet program, Harroff and his wife Jane have two children Jill and Joel.
