Reports say the Texas wheat crop is the best yet and Nicaragua flour suits tropical transport. Texas will export about 1,000,000 bales of this year's cotton. Commercial centers show a strong fall trade in volume and value, with Moncey available at low ground bankable credit rates.
Reports from Atchison and Fort Scott detail diseased Texas cattle entering Kansas prompting lawsuits and a judge ruling a state law unconstitutional. The East’s cattle trade faces high losses with many still dying on routes to the West and fears of broader spread among farmers and dairies.
