Legion Auxiliary Delivers Gifts and Supports Veterans
The American Legion Auxiliary unit 262 met with 12 members for a covered dish gathering. They packed Christmas gifts for Grand Island hospital, sent funds to Yanks and Taunton men, and planned Beatrice State Home donations. USO fund donations reached 82.70. A door to door canvass was conducted by Dix Fireladies Auxiliary. Election of officers announced new president Keith Krafczik and other officers. A notice followed about various legal and estate matters, local visits, Thanksgiving activities, and community events.
