Death of Mrs Arabel Daugherty Leaves Sidney Grieving
Mrs Arabel Rebecca Daugherty wife of John Daugherty dies at her Sidney home on Saturday November 13 after a lingering illness. Funeral held at Lutheran church Sunday at two with Rev George Beecher and Rev Moore officiating. Degree of Honor and A U W attended and accompanied the casket to the grave. Interment followed with committal service and benediction. She was highly esteemed and leaves a sorrowing husband and two motherless children.

Death of John Holden after long heart trouble
John Holden a longtime heart patient died at home Saturday evening November 13 1397 and was buried from the Lutheran church Monday mat Rev R S Moore officiating. Born in Württemberg Germany in 1845 he came to America in 1867 and settled in Sidney in 1875. He was a member of the S O O F and of the Army and Navy Union leaving a wife and four children.
