Cheyenne Legion Edges Sidney Legion on Armistice Day
Cheyenne Legion beat Sidney Legion seven to nothing in a hard fought Armistice Day football game. Douglas of Cheyenne intercepted a pass and returned it 60 yards for the lone score in the third quarter. Sidney threatened twice but failed to reach the end zone as Green stopped a late bid near Cheyenne’s five yard line. Both teams fumbled often reflecting lack of practice. Douglas brothers starred for Cheyenne, while Green Iverson and former Nebraska players starred for Sidney.
