Alaska Safari at Sidney Fox Theatre Dominates Box Office
The outdoor color film Alaska Safari plays to record crowds at the Sidney Fox Theatre with praise from sportsmen nationwide. In Spokane more than 10 000 attended two showings at the Coliseum. The film showcases Eskimo life near the Russian border, big game hunting from behind the hunter’s shoulder, and bush pilots using tundra airstrips. Prohibitions include hunting game birds with swivel guns or shotguns above 10 gauge and forbids target shooting from roads or bridges. Nebraska notes three national monuments Homestead Scotts Bluff and Agate Fossil Beds.
