Armistice Dance Draws Legion Members at Opera House
The American Legion hosted an Armistice Day dance at the Opera House Tuesday evening. Although a luncheon and weather costs threatened a deficit, about one hundred dollars was raised to cover bills. Sidney orchestra played into the early hours, with volunteers serving coffee, pickles, and sandwiches. A Legion meeting is set for November 25 at eight o clock at the courthouse.

First Shipment of Avery Tractors Arrive at Sidney

Hearts and Dollar Campaign Still Short
The Red Cross Roll Call in Cheyenne County, begun last week by Chairman Leon Fine, shows widespread shortfalls in both hearts and dollars. Senior High School students in Sidney opened enrollment offices at the Post Office, aided by a broad canvass, bringing more than 400 enrollments in Sidney and over 300 in Potter. Weather halted further outreach Saturday, but organizers plan to continue until a target membership is reached to ensure organized relief in emergencies.
