Lincoln officials report Nebraska’s vocational enrollment tripled since 1964 and spending reached 16 million dollars. The open hearing at the Capitol outlined council recommendations for tighter coordination with other state plans and expanded adult and continuing education to aid job placement.
Lawrence Thompson announces the Cheyenne County ASCS names slates for the district committees Trognitz-Chambers and Dalton-Sidney Weyerts-Lodgepale with multiple contenders. Only one candidate was petitioned by farmers. others chosen by an interim county committee. Mail ballots run Nov 21 to Dec 1 with voting instructions.
Two railroad officials James A. Hagle manager of community and public relations Burlington Northern Railroad and Edwin R Miller executive director Nebraska Railroad Association will speak Tuesday to the Western Nebraska United Chamber of Commerce in Hyannis on coal slurry pipelines.
The Sidney Educators Association and individual teachers boosted the fund at drive headquarters. Their total contribution neared 500, bringing the campaign total to 9332, about 62 percent of the 1975 goal of 15000.

Camp Pendleton notes the 200th anniversary of the Continental Marines with the Marine Corps Birthday Ball in Sidney Colorado. About 100 attendees, including former Marines Paul Douglas and Col. Cletus Karthauser, recall campaigns and wartime service as they toast the Corps.
