Potato Inspection Warning From Scottsbluff Office
N D Sanborn U S Department of Agriculture supervisor in charge of the state potato inspection office at Scottsbluff warned truckers growers and dealers that all potatoes shipped from Nebraska Wyoming or Colorado to other states must be accompanied by a certificate of inspection. Shipments must not contain more than five percent by weight of potatoes under one and one half inches in diameter not meeting U S No 2 grade or better. Growers or dealers selling direct should inform truckers to obtain inspections before leaving the district. Inspect inspections can be arranged by calling the Scottsbluff office at 1011 or inspectors can meet shipments at the cellar.

Nels Peter Rasmussen 88 father of Mrs. J M Nelson of Sidney died Tuesday noon at Eben-Ezer sanatorium Brush Colorado after six weeks of illness. A native of Denmark born October 24 1849 he married Maren Frederiksen in Denmark at 27. They came to the United States in 1884 and farmed as early homesteaders near Potter Cheyenne County later moving to town life.

Kaderli Case Set for Lancaster County Jury Panel
The state brings Walter H. Jurgensen lieutenant governor to trial for embezzlement in Lancaster County. Prosecutors say Jurgensen and Jules H. Three Army Flyers Leave Here Tuesday
A Douglas bombing plane arrived in Sidney Tuesday to transport three army pilots forced down here last Saturday to Hamilton Field, Calif. Lieut. H. F. Bronson and Privates Stoup and Burkhart escaped with slight hurts when their observation plane pancaked in a field near Brenson after its motors died. The bomber, with two 1000 horsepower supercharged motors, carried a five man crew and was among the latest in Uncle Sam’s fleet. The wrecked plane was being dismantled Wednesday by a special crew.
